2nd Annual Transport, Health and Well Being Conference – Call for Abstracts

Deadline: 15th February 2013

The UK transport systems contribution to the carbon footprint will always be a hot topic until it is resolved. Road accidents never fail to make the headlines each month. Many of us are still using personal vehicles as modes of transport, which does not help the issue of road congestion, despite measures to encourage sustainable modes of transport. Why is this? Do you think these measure to encourage modes such as walking and cycling enough, and by how much have they been effective? What sort of impact is this having on our health?

PTRC is inviting policy makers from the health and transport sectors, practitioners and stakeholders to submit abstracts to present at the 2nd Annual Transport, Health and Well Being Conference, taking place on 10th April 2013 in London, to encourage ideas on ways the health and transport sectors can collaborate to effectively address these issues. The aim is not to simply hold a place for discussion, but a platform where ideas-sharing can eventually be transformed into actions.
