The Principles of Traffic and Transport | 20 Week Lecture Series

Now in its 13th year, our most popular lecture series provides an introduction to the key components of transport planning and traffic engineering. Whether you are new to the transport industry, are looking to refresh your knowledge on transport principles, or if you have taken on a new responsibility or are working in a ‘niche area’ and wish to broaden your knowledge, our 20 week evening lecture series offers a cost-effective and time-inexpensive training course that will benefit both the participating employee and their employer.

Providing for Cycling | 10 Week Lecture Series

This course is designed to provide a solid introduction to cycling considerations and is suitable for people working in the fields of transport planning, transport policy, highway engineering, road safety, public health, or with managerial responsibility for these roles. It will also be of interest to people addressing cycling and transport issues within the third sector and academia.

Cycle Infrastructure Design Course | Six Week Lecture Series

This course consists of six evening lectures which include interactive break-out sessions, hands-on infrastructure design exercises, opportunities to have your own work peer reviewed by experts, and ample time for questions. It looks in detail at national design guidance, engineering standards and UK and international cycle infrastructure design best practice. Taking a practical look at real-life situations, the course considers solutions for junctions, main roads, quieter streets and signage.
