PTRC, as part of CILT(UK), collects personally identifiable information, such as your email address, name, home/work address or telephone number. PTRC may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your postal code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favourites.

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that may be automatically collected when you use PTRC online services. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used to operate the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of PTRC and CILT(UK) websites.

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through any public message boards provided by PTRC or CILT(UK), this information may be collected and used by others. PTRC and CILT(UK) do not read any of your private online communications.

PTRC, as part of CILT(UK), collects and uses your personal information to operate the PTRC website and deliver the services you have requested. PTRC may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from PTRC, CILT(UK) and their affiliates, and may contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.

PTRC and CILT(UK) do not sell, rent or lease customer lists to third parties. PTRC and CILT(UK) may keep track of the websites and pages users visit within their online services, in order to determine which services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customised content and advertising to users whose behaviour indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area. If you are employed within the MOD and have an active CILT(UK) membership, your name and job title may be shared with your employer to support CILT(UK)’s ongoing partnership with the MOD and ensure that membership provides maximum value to MOD personnel.

PTRC and CILT(UK) websites will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on PTRC/CILT(UK) or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of PTRC/CILT(UK); and (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of PTRC/CILT(UK) websites or the public.
