Seasons Greetings from all at PTRC

10 December 2014/Categories: PTRC News

For several weeks now, I’ve been navigating past the hordes of people making their way to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, and now that the second week of December is nearly over, must grudgingly concede that it’s time to break out the mince pies, don the Christmas jumper and head out in search of mulled wine…

Since starting in post back in January, I’ve had a fantastic time at PTRC.  The year has flown by; courses have been selling out like hot cakes, TPM was a great success, Transport Modellers Forum goes from strength to strength and we’ve got more great events coming up in the New Year.  I wasn’t the only person enjoying myself– the sound of laughter was heard emanating from our training room on several occasions, as tutors applied the theory that people will learn more when they’re having fun.

I’m hoping that I’ll get the chance to meet more of you next year, as we bring a selection of courses to Manchester and other locations outside of London.  These start in January with  On-Street Parking, Successful Planning Applications and Public Inquiries running in Manchester.  For any ale aficionados out there, our courses aren’t the only reason to head to Manchester in the third week in January - the Manchester Beer Festival is also taking place just a hop and a skip away along the Metrolink at the Velodrome.  Parking, trams, cycling, beer and successful planning applications – what more could a transport planner want for Christmas?!

Wishing you all the very best for the festive season and the year ahead.
