PTRC is aware of the need to secure maximum benefit from training budgets, but at the same time ensure that employees have the correct skills to help organisations meet their business and public obligations. Time and financial pressures mean that this cannot always be achieved, especially if there are large numbers of employees involved.
In-house training can offer employers a very cost effective approach to training groups of between 10 and 25 employees in introductory methods and skills, and providing an update on new or emerging techniques.
We have developed a range of technical courses that are likely to appeal to newer engineers, planners and technicians including those who have been recruited from a non-technical background.
We offer in-house training on a variety of topics including highway engineering, traffic engineering, signals, road safety, drainage, pavements, public inquiries and risk management.
If you are interested in these or any other subjects, please contact us at info@ptrc-training.co.uk and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
PTRC has launched two new in house courses for individual or groups of local authorities
1. Stakeholder and public engagement in the development of LTP3
This half-day course introduces delegates to the important role for stakeholder and public engagement in the development of the third round of local transport plans (LTP3).
2. The Disability Equality Duty – What this means for transport planning and “placemaking” professionals
This course has been especially developed to help transport, highways and public realm professionals in Unitary County and District authorities to understand the provisions of the DDA and what this means for their day to day work in policy development through to planning, designing and delivering schemes on the ground.
The course can be run as a standardised training programme, or customised to take account of individual local authorities’ needs and issues.
For further details of the above two courses please contact Ian Chatfield, Head of Training and Development ian.chatfield@ptrc-training.co.uk.
